Before entering in the library, the gate register is to be signed and the membership / Identity Cards to be shown at the counter. Private books,
personal books and personal belongings should be deposited at property counter. The library is not responsible for any loss or damage to the
same.
Borrower’s membership card being the library property must be returned to the library at the end of the period of issue. All those who leave the
institute must surrender their membership card to the library, and obtain a "Clearance" certificate from the Librarian, in order to ensure that
they owe no dues to the library.
The Members have privilege of direct access to the shelves and the freedom to browse among the books during specified hours. It is important that
classified arrangement of books is maintained on the shelves for the convenience of all members.
Library books are for the benefits not only to present but also to the future members of the library. Therefore, handle all the books with care
and consideration. Marking of books with any pen or pencil is totally prohibited.
As the library is a place for individual study, it is necessary to maintain an atmosphere of silence inside the library. Talking, eating and
drinking inside or near the library are not permissible.
All Mobiles should be switched off before entering library.
Members should keep the librarian informed of any change of address, during the period of their membership.
The members caught tearing pages/stealing of books will be suspended forthwith from using the library facilities and the College will initiate
further disciplinary action against them.
Members leaving the library should stop at the exit so that the material borrowed or taken out of the library by them may be checked.
The Librarian reserves the right to suspend the membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the library staff or behaving in an indecent
manner.
Loss of Books
In case of loss of a book(s), the borrower shall be required to pay the cost of the book including Overdue Charges (if any), Processing Charges
(Rs.150), Binding Charges (Rs.50) and any penalty that may be imposed.
Loss of Library ID card
The loss of Library cards should be reported in writing immediately to the Director supported with an FIR lodged in local police station,
duplicate card(s) will be issued on payment of Rs.100 within fifteen days of receipt of complaint.
Students shall be responsible for any loss which the library may suffer through the loss or misuse of their cards. Any person using cards
declared "lost" will be fined a sum of Rs.1500 which will not be waived off under any circumstances. In addition, he/she will invite strict
disciplinary action which may include suspension from the Institute.
